Northwest Ohio — Communities across Northwest Ohio are being urged to stay weather-aware this evening as a potentially dangerous round of severe storms moves through the region between 5:00 and 10:00 PM. The area remains in an “Enhanced Risk” zone — Level 3 out of 5 — as designated by the Storm Prediction Center, with that risk area now extending slightly farther west.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in North Webster, Indiana are expressing high confidence in the development of severe storms west of Ohio. However, NWS Cleveland notes that storm strength could begin to weaken upon entering Ohio, adding some uncertainty to how intense conditions may get locally.

- 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM: Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are likely across the region. Main threats include:
- Damaging wind gusts up to 60–70 mph
- Large hail

Rainfall may continue into Thursday morning, with totals approaching half an inch in some areas.
Emergency officials encourage residents to monitor weather alerts, charge mobile devices, and secure loose outdoor items ahead of the storms.
