A Night at Town Hall Kicks Off Grand Rapids Light Up The Night Weekend

You are cordially invited to attend “A Night at the Town Hall, A Community Production and Christmas Sing-Along” presented in the historic Grand Rapids Town Hall on Friday, December 13, at 7:00 p.m.

The holiday evening has been planned by the Town Hall Committee, a group of citizens who is bringing life and entertainment back into the lovely facility. Performing will be Mark Sarkan as Kris Kringle; Matthew Tolles as Rudolph Veni; Joe Barton as The Grinch; Carole Sarkan as Elf On a Shelf; Roger and Laura Borer as The Borer Elves; Ben Hergert as Elvis Presley; Chrissy Borer as Holly Bells; and Chuck and Tina Thomas as Charlie Brown and Linus.

Also performing will be dancers from Defying Gravity: Taylor Asmus, Paige Braley, Nataleigh Kersten, Addison Brooks, Emilee Harrwaldt, Miriam Hergert, Ella Kosinski, Aubree Moore, Katie Starr, Addi Sweeney, Marissa Tschappat, James Bates, Evan Radabaugh, Gabriel Radabaugh, and Noah Radabaugh. Music for the evening will be provided by Josh Hergert and Lynne Long. 

The Town Hall Committee thanks the following: Tim Tiderman, sound engineer; Hayley Babcock, lights; Chris Heban and Field of Dreams, decorations; Gamechefs, programs; Grand Rapids Historical Society; and Village Council.  Admission is free, but a free will offering will be taken to cover expenses. “The Advent of Peace”, a CD of Christmas music recorded by Lynne Long, will be available for a donation to the Town Hall Committee. Attendees are also encouraged to bring non-perishable items for the Otsego Food Pantry. Let us put you in the Christmas spirit!

This fun holiday event will kick of a weekend of fun as Grand Rapids Light Up the Night, a full day of holiday festivities including a parade, will happen on Saturday, December 14.

“Christmas carolers throughout the day, shoppe specials, cookies, crafts, and a free hot cocoa bar with over twenty toppings…  and end your night watching our residents and businesses deck out their rides during the Light up the Night Parade!”
