***Event Cancelled Due to High Water***
The second annual River Rat Plunge is set to take place on New Year’s Day at 3 pm in downtown Grand Rapids, Ohio. Participants will enter the Maumee River behind the Marathon gas station.
The event is open to all ages, though minors must have a parent or adult chaperone present. Organizers recommend participants wear shoes, as the area is rocky and uneven.
Last year’s inaugural plunge saw a strong turnout, and organizers are hoping for even greater participation this year. Spectators are welcome to attend and cheer on participants. Complimentary coffee and hot chocolate will be available to help attendees stay warm.
