As we enjoy the unofficial start of summer, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Across Northwest Ohio, communities are holding special services and ceremonies—please scroll below for a full list of events.

9:45 AM – Mount Pleasant Cemetery Service
10:30 AM – Parade lineup at the Fire Hall / Pirates Park
11:30 AM – St. Patrick’s Church Service
Immediately following: American Legion Post 232 Community Potluck (Open to the public)
Trolley rides available for those in need

Monday, May 26
10:00 AM – Memorial Day Parade steps off
10:30 AM – Service at Oak Grove Cemetery
1:00 PM – Service at Wood County Memory Gardens (Liberty Hi Rd)
Featuring Judge Matthew Reger, BG High School Band, Mayor Aspacher, and more.
Rain location: Veterans Memorial Building, BG City Park, 10:30 AM


Liberty Center, Ohio

Monday, May 26
9:30 AM – Service at Heath Cemetery
10:15 AM – Parade through Liberty Center
Following parade: Memorial Service at Young Cemetery
Chicken BBQ at VFW Post 6596 after service


Napoleon, Ohio

Monday, May 26
10:00 AM – Memorial Day Service on the River Bridge
Followed by: Veterans Memorial next to the Sheriff’s Office
Rain location: Bert G. Taylor Post #300 – 500 Glenwood Ave


Perrysburg, Ohio

Monday, May 26 | 10:00–11:00 AM
Parade begins at Louisiana Ave & Fifth St
Gun salute at Front St, concludes with memorial service at Fort Meigs Cemetery
Free and open to the public with floats, bands, and veterans groups


Swanton, Ohio

Monday, May 26
10:30 AM – Parade begins at Swanton Sports Center, ends at Memorial Park
Barbecue lunch at American Legion Post 479 follows the service


Sylvania / Toledo, Ohio

Monday, May 26
9:00 AM – Service at Toledo Memorial Park (6382 Monroe St)
10:00 AM – Parade begins at St. Joseph Parish East (5373 Main St)
Parade ends at Veterans Memorial Park after multiple turns through downtown


Whitehouse / Waterville, Ohio

10:00 AM – Ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park, Whitehouse
11:00 AM – Ceremony at Wakeman Cemetery, Waterville
