TOLEDO, Ohio — The Lucas County Commissioners are inviting local residents to take part in county decision-making by applying for open seats on several public boards and commissions.
In a joint statement, the commissioners emphasized the importance of community participation, noting that public input helps shape policies that directly affect residents’ daily lives. “By lending their talents to serve on a board, residents will have the chance to weigh in on key decisions, advocate for important issues, and help guide local policy,” the statement said.
Current openings include positions with the Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities, the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority, and the Lucas County Children Services Board of Trustees.
All Lucas County residents are encouraged to apply. Those interested can contact the Lucas County Commissioners’ Office at 419-213-4821 for details or assistance with the application process or click here.
