Teresa Caputo Brings an Emotional Night to Stranahan Theater

Last night, my family and I went to see Teresa Caputo, the Long Island Medium, live at the Stranahan Theater in Toledo. For those who aren’t familiar, a medium is someone who can speak to those who have passed on, often delivering messages or impressions from “the other side.” Whether you’re a believer, a skeptic, or somewhere in between, there’s no denying the emotional power these shows can carry.

Teresa’s performance lasted about two hours, and it was packed with deeply personal moments. She mixed humor with heavy emotion, sharing stories from the audience and offering connections to those who had lost loved ones. One especially heavy moment came when she referenced the tragic case of a young girl from Toledo, who went missing earlier this year and was later found deceased. You could feel the entire room sink into silence—grief, empathy, and even anger all in the air.

A Moment That Hit Close to Home

Earlier in the evening, Teresa explained that sometimes she’ll begin channeling messages that might not just be for the person she’s speaking directly to—they could resonate with others in the room, too. That happened to me.

She began talking to a man in the crowd, sharing that his father said things like, “I missed watching you grow up,” and “I missed the key moments.” The details started to echo my own story of losing my dad when I was 15. Then she said something strangely specific: that his father was talking about “wheels and rims” and how much he loved them.

That one stopped me cold. My dad had a thing for rims. He put rally rims on everything—even our old ’80s Oldsmobile. He loved polished chrome, shiny tires, and making them gleam. And here’s the kicker: earlier that same day, I had picked up my car from the repair shop, told my mom how much I loved it, and specifically mentioned how good it looks with the rims I put on it. They’re nothing fancy, just wheel skins, but I had even run it through the car wash and paid extra for tire and rim polish. I spent an hour cleaning up my car that day.

Coincidence? Maybe. But the timing, the phrasing, the connection—it all made me sit back and wonder.

My Connection with Mediums

This wasn’t the first time I’ve had that kind of jolt. My good friend Tammy Schuster, who is also a psychic medium, has been an important part of my life for years. Tammy is my partner in the Paranormal Exploring Project, and we first met back when I was doing mornings at 106 KHQ in Petoskey/Traverse City. From the very first conversation, she started sharing things about my dad—details she couldn’t have possibly known.

It makes me wonder if my dad takes every chance he can to “come through,” whether it’s in a theater with Teresa Caputo or in a one-on-one conversation with Tammy.

Final Thoughts

Teresa’s show was emotional, intense, and even healing at times. Whether or not you believe in what she does, the energy in that theater was something special. As for me, I’ll always be curious about these connections. Maybe they’re coincidence… or maybe they’re exactly what they seem.

If you’ve ever thought about exploring this kind of experience yourself, I can’t recommend Tammy Schuster enough. She’s not just talented—she’s a caring, grounded person who will absolutely blow you away. You can reach out to Tammy at TammySchuster.com, be sure to connect with her on all of her socials!

Recently, she did a guest lecture at the University of Michigan, you can watch it below.
