Toledo Police, FBI Investigate KeyBank Robbery in Point Place

TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo Police and the FBI are investigating a Friday afternoon bank robbery at the KeyBank branch on Suder Avenue near Shoreland Avenue in Point Place.

Officers were called to the scene around 3:40 p.m. after an employee reported the incident. Police quickly secured the area, directing nearby residents indoors and closing roads around the bank. All employees and customers were safely evacuated, including a woman in the drive-thru who was escorted to safety.

Authorities confirmed there was one suspect. While no identity has been released, 13abc reports the Toledo Blade indicated the suspect turned a gun on himself during the incident.

Police say there is no ongoing threat to the public. The investigation remains active, with both Toledo Police and the FBI leading the case. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
