Toledo to Host National Night Out Event at Glass City Metropark

TOLEDO, OH — The City of Toledo will take part in the annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 5, with a public event held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Glass City Metropark, located at 1505 Front Street.

The event, part of a nationwide initiative aimed at promoting community-police partnerships, will feature appearances by Toledo Police officers, Fire & Rescue personnel, Metroparks Rangers, and several community organizations. Activities will be free and open to the public.

Scheduled attractions include:

  • Free roller skating on The Ribbon
  • Face painting
  • A kids’ bicycle safety course
  • A toy giveaway
  • Access to the Mercy Health FitPark Climb rock wall
  • “Touch-a-Truck” exhibits featuring patrol and specialty police vehicles

Organizers say the event is designed to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement, while encouraging a renewed sense of community engagement.

No reservations are required, and the event will be held rain or shine.
