Bowling Green Pride Festival Returns June 27

Bowling Green, Ohio — Bowling Green Pride is set to return Saturday, June 27, as the community celebrates the festival’s fifth anniversary at Wooster Green in downtown Bowling Green. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature drag performances, food trucks, vendors, community activities, and family-friendly entertainment.

Organizers say the festival began with a simple conversation among friends at Grounds For Thought in Bowling Green, where they envisioned creating a stronger sense of connection, inclusion, and belonging in the city. That vision eventually became BG Pride, which has continued to grow each year into one of the area’s most visible celebrations of LGBTQ+ pride and community support.

This year’s event is sponsored in part by Wood County ADAMHS and Visit BG. According to promotional materials, festivities will include a community stage beginning at 11 a.m., an opening ceremony at noon, drag shows scheduled for 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., plus kids’ games, food trucks, vendors, and additional activities throughout the afternoon.

The festival will take place at Wooster Green near East Wooster Street and South Church Street in downtown Bowling Green. Organizers emphasize that “everyone is welcome here,” continuing the event’s mission of celebrating equality, kindness, and community for residents, students, families, and visitors alike.
