Fatal Crash in Wood County Claims Life of Oak Harbor Woman

Bowling Green, Ohio — A two-vehicle crash in Wood County Saturday afternoon has claimed the life of a 30-year-old Oak Harbor woman, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 4:49 p.m. on April 4 at the intersection of Five Point Road and Lime City Road.

Investigators say Brooke Tabbert, 30, was driving a 2018 Ford four-door vehicle eastbound on Five Point Road when she “failed to yield at the stop sign,” entering the intersection into the path of a southbound 2016 Ford SUV driven by Clemente Vallestero, 29, of Perrysburg.

The SUV struck Tabbert’s vehicle, sending both vehicles off the southeast corner of the intersection where they collided with a utility pole.

Tabbert was transported by Perrysburg EMS to St. Vincent’s Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

An infant child in Tabbert’s vehicle was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Vallestero sustained minor injuries and was not transported from the scene.

Multiple agencies assisted, including Perrysburg Township Police and Fire Departments, along with Bubba’s Towing and Wright’s Towing.

The crash remains under investigation.
