Four people have been arrested in connection with a violent assault on a 63-year-old homeless man in Toledo, following a wave of tips submitted to Crime Stoppers.
The incident occurred Monday, when a group of four individuals reportedly cornered the victim against a wall and attacked him. Video footage showed the man being punched, kicked, and stomped while attempting to defend himself with a garbage can lid.
Investigators identified one of the suspects as 20-year-old Cantrelle Henderson, who was already under supervision with an ankle monitor at the time of the attack. He was taken into custody for a parole violation and now faces an additional assault charge.
Three juveniles were also arrested in connection with the case and are facing assault charges.
Authorities are still working to determine whether additional charges, including the possibility of a hate crime, may apply.
