Scribbles’ Top 5 Favorite Things About Toledo Pride!

Hi friends!

Toledo Pride is almost here, and I have to say…it’s one of my favorite weekends of the summer. There’s just something special about seeing thousands of people come together to celebrate love, acceptance, community, and having a great time.

Whether you’re a Pride veteran or thinking about checking it out for the first time, here are my Top 5 Favorite Things About Toledo Pride!

1. We Kick Things Off by Getting Active!

I absolutely love that Toledo Pride starts with something that’s good for both your body and your spirit.

The Toledo Pride NiteGlo 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk are such a fun way to kick off the weekend. You don’t have to be a serious runner either, people of all ages and fitness levels can join in.

It’s all about getting outside, moving a little, and starting Pride Weekend surrounded by positive energy. Best of all, once you cross the finish line at Promenade Park, you’re already right where the opening night festivities begin!

2. The Entertainment Never Disappoints

Live music? Check.

Amazing drag performances? Absolutely.

Great DJs, incredible performers, and a crowd that’s ready to have fun? Every single year!

Whether you’re dancing with friends or just soaking in the atmosphere, there’s always something happening that keeps the energy going all weekend long.

3. Shopping Local Is Half the Fun

One of my favorite things to do is wander through all the vendors.

You’ll find local artists, small businesses, nonprofits, community organizations, unique gifts, delicious food, and plenty of things you didn’t know you needed until you saw them!

It’s a great reminder of just how many amazing people and organizations call northwest Ohio home.

4. The Smiles Are Everywhere

Seriously…this event just makes people happy.

You’ll see families making memories, friends laughing together, colorful outfits, dancing, hugs, selfies, and so many smiling faces.

In a world that sometimes feels a little too serious, Toledo Pride is a beautiful reminder that kindness, acceptance, and celebrating one another can bring out the very best in our community.

5. It Shows Off the Very Best of Toledo

I love seeing people come from all over northwest Ohio, and beyond, to experience Toledo Pride.

Events like this shine a spotlight on everything that makes our city special. Great people, great entertainment, amazing local businesses, and a community that knows how to come together and celebrate.

That’s something worth being proud of.
